West Ham United are considering Joao Mario and Stefano Sturaro, as they look to replace Pedro Obiang.

Obiang wants to return to Sampdoria, the club he left to join West Ham in 2015, and the Serie A outfit have been talking to the Hammers.

West Ham want to secure a replacement before they let Obiang leave and, according to Sky Italia, Mario and Sturaro are options.

Mario spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham from Inter.

But the Italians are playing hardball this summer and want to make sure any exit for Mario is a permanent one.

Juventus midfielder Sturaro is also an option for the Hammers.

West Ham are one of several English sides to have been linked with wanting to sign Sturaro from Juventus this summer.

A deal for the midfielder, who is not short of options as he looks to play regularly next season, could take the shape of a loan.
