The entourage of Brazilian winger Bernard are on their way to London to hold transfer talks with Chelsea over a proposed move for their client.
The winger is available on a free transfer this summer after he decided against extending his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk at the end of last season.
His agent has been in talks with AC Milan over a move and the player prefers a move to the San Siro, but for the moment an agreement between the two parties is missing.
Bernard has demanded a four-year deal worth €4m per season and AC Milan sporting director Leonardo has asked for more time before taking a final decision on whether to recruit him.
His representatives are carrying on talks with other clubs as well and according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, they are on their way to London for a transfer summit with Chelsea.
The west London club are interested in the winger and have been eyeing signing him on a free transfer, but Chelsea want an answer from the player as soon as possible.
Bernard’s entourage will hold talks with Chelsea and assess whether they are prepared to meet the winger’s contractual demands.
The Blues reportedly want to finalise a deal for Bernard before Tuesday or move on to other targets.
