Jordan Ayew's move to Crystal Palace from Swansea City looks unlikely to happen as Jairo Riedewald is unwilling to head to the Liberty Stadium.

Palace have been hoping to land Ayew and Swansea boss Graham Potter admitted on Thursday that talks between the two clubs were happening.

Swansea wanted to take Riedewald to the Liberty Stadium as part of a deal to let Ayew head to Selhurst Park.

But, according to Guardian Sport, Riedewald is not willing to drop into the Championship with Swansea this summer.

As such, any deal looks unlikely to happen and Roy Hodgson's men are now looking closely at other targets.

The Eagles pulled off a coup by signing Max Meyer on a free transfer on Thursday evening.

But their transfer business is not done and Hodgson wants to add to the ranks at Selhurst Park before the transfer window closes for Premier League sides to make signings on 9th August.

Swansea can do business up until 31st August, in the shape of simple loans or loans with a view to a permanent deal later.
