Lazio are interested in signing Leicester City and West Ham linked midfielder Joao Mario this summer, but they will have to sell players first before making a move.

Mario spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and the Hammers are considering him as an option to replace Pedro Obiang in their squad ahead of next season.

Leicester have also got into the mix for Mario as they bid to strengthen the ranks at the King Power Stadium.

However, Inter have a clear asking price for Mario and do not want to shift from their demands. And the Premier League pair have competition from Italy for the Portuguese.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Lazio have identified him as a potential target and are considering taking the Portugal international to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

However, the Biancocelesti will have to do some housekeeping before they will be able to make a move for the Inter midfielder in the coming weeks.

Lazio are not in a position to sign Mario before shipping out a few more players in order to trim the fat from their squad.

However, the club have their eyes on Mario and are considering options to take him from Inter.
