Leicester City have tied up a deal to sign Monaco winger Rachid Ghezzal.

The Foxes lost Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City earlier this summer, but have turned to France for a replacement in the shape of wide-man Ghezzal.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, the former Premier League champions have now reached an agreement with Monaco for the winger.

The deal is due to be confirmed on Sunday.

The Algeria international came through the youth ranks at Lyon before then making an impact at the same club.

He refused to extend his contract with Les Gones however and landed at Monaco last summer on a free transfer.

Ghezzal put pen to paper to a four-year contract at the Stade Louis II, but is only completing a year of it.

The 26-year-old winger has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years and will now sample the English top flight with Leicester.
