Chelsea have not moved away from their stance on Thibaut Courtois despite his agent urging them to accept an offer from Real Madrid.

Courtois has a year left on his contract with Chelsea and is pushing for an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer, with his eyes set on a move to Real Madrid this summer.

Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle with Real Madrid for Courtois’ transfer, but the club have made it clear that they won’t sanction the move unless they bring in a replacement.

With five days left in the transfer window for Premier League clubs to sign players, Chelsea are yet to sign a goalkeeper and it has led to his agent making a public plea to let Courtois go in the next few days.

But the situation at Chelsea remains unchanged and according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, they are still insisting on getting a replacement before allowing the Belgian to leave.

Chelsea have been scrambling around in the market this summer, with goalkeeper one of the many positions the club are looking to bring in players for in the next few days.

Courtois wants to move to the Spanish capital as he wants to live with his young family who reside in Madrid.

Maurizio Sarri has already conceded that he can do little at the moment to influence the goalkeeper’s future.
