Lucas Perez is moving closer towards a switch from Arsenal to West Ham United.

The Spanish striker is out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and spent last season on loan in his homeland with Deportivo La Coruna.

He has attracted interest from several clubs this summer, including sides in the Italian top flight, but Perez could extend his stay in English football.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Perez is edging closer to a switch to the London Stadium.

It is claimed that Monday will see further talks take place aiming to close out the deal.

West Ham have been busy in the transfer market this summer as they back Manuel Pellegrini ahead of the new campaign.

Arsenal paid around £17m to sign Perez from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer of 2016.

However, the Spanish attacker was handed little in the way of first team chances by former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

And he appears to have no place under new boss Unai Emery.
