West Ham United have joined Crystal Palace and Everton in holding an interest in Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons.

The 29-year-old Frenchman has so far resisted the thought of quitting the Stadio Olimpico this summer, but it remains to be seen what the situation will be over the coming days and weeks.

Both Crystal Palace and Everton have been linked with Gonalons while, according to Italian daily Il Tempo, they have now been joined by West Ham.

Gonalons only joined Roma last summer, linking up with the Giallorossi on a four-year deal from French side Lyon.

He struggled for playing time at Roma last term, with injuries playing their part, and made just 16 appearances in Serie A for the side.

Gonalons made over 300 appearances for Lyon before opting for a fresh challenge in Italy.

And the midfielder may not be keen to change clubs again so quickly.

The midfielder, who made his Serie A debut for Roma against Benevento, has been capped by France at international level.
