Manchester United Contact Bayern Munich Over Jerome Boateng

Manchester United took advantage of their friendly clash against Bayern Munich in Germany to touch base with the Bundesliga giants about Jerome Boateng.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Boateng and they have no time to lose with the Premier League transfer window closing on 9th August.

Manchester United played out a 1-0 defeat at Bayern Munich on Sunday and, according to German magazine Sport Bild, the Red Devils spoke with the German giants about Boateng before the friendly.

Bayern Munich are willing to let Boateng leave, but want €50m from Manchester United.

Boateng clocked up 45 minutes in the friendly against Manchester United.

The 29-year-old joined Bayern Munich in 2011 from Manchester City.

He has enjoyed success at the Allianz Arena, collecting six Bundesliga titles, three German Cups and one Champions League.

Boateng made 31 appearances for Bayern Munich last season and has made a total of 258 appearances for the German giants since joining.
