Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has emerged as a possible target for Serie A giants Roma this summer.

Roma are in the marker for a midfielder in the ongoing window and Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has emerged as their priority midfield target.

However, N’Zonzi is dithering over a move to Roma and is waiting for an offer from the Premier League, with Arsenal and Everton believed to be interested in him.

The Frenchman remains their top target, but Roma are considering other options and it seems their recruitment gaze has turned towards north London.

According to Italian daily La Repubblica, Tottenham midfielder Wanyama has emerged on Roma's list of targets for midfield reinforcement this summer.

Signed from Southampton in 2016, Wanyama struggled with injuries last season and only appeared 24 times in all competitions for the north London outfit.

Tottenham are believed to be considering selling the Kenyan this summer and could entertain offers for him in the coming days.

However, it remains to be seen whether they would be prepared to sell him if Roma approach them after the Premier League window slams shut on Thursday.
