Arsenal remain keen on signing Steven N'Zonzi from Sevilla, as Unai Emery looks to take the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium.

The France international is ready to leave Sevilla this summer and has attracted interest from several clubs, including Serie A giants Roma.

Arsenal have also shown interest in N'Zonzi and, according to Spanish daily Estadio Deportivo, remain firmly in the hunt to take him to London on the orders of Emery.

N'Zonzi favours a move to London, where his daughter lives, over a switch to Serie A.

He also knows that Arsenal are in a position to meet his €4.5m per year salary demands, which Roma are unlikely to pay.

But time is running out for Arsenal to land the former Stoke City man.

Premier League sides can only make signings until 9th August and if Arsenal cannot do a deal before the window shuts, Roma could be the only game in town for N'Zonzi.

Roma are though also assessing other options for their midfield.
