AC Milan are in talks with Chelsea to land midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan.

The Rossoneri are looking to bring in a midfield enforcer and their gaze has turned towards Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Italia, AC Milan are speaking with Chelsea to take Bakayoko to the San Siro on a season-long loan agreement.

The deal would also contain a purchase option for AC Milan to activate in the event that Bakayoko does well at the club.

The Rossoneri recently had their European competition ban lifted, meaning Bakayoko would play in the Europa League in Italy.

Chelsea signed the midfielder from Monaco last summer, but he struggled to make his mark with the Blues and regularly saw his performances criticised.

The Premier League side may have decided they can do without Bakayoko, with new boss Maurizio Sarri having assessed his squad.

Chelsea paid around £40m to sign Bakayoko from Monaco and his arrival at Stamford Bridge prompted the club to sell Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
