Real Madrid will complete the signing of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea this week, it has been claimed in Spain.

Courtois, who is now into the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge, wants to move to the Spanish giants.

The goalkeeper has gone AWOL from Chelsea in a bid to force through a move and the Blues are already pushing to sign a replacement.

Courtois' actions are set to lead to success and, according to Spanish TV programme El Larguero, Real Madrid are to officially seal the signing of the goalkeeper later this week.

Chelsea have only been willing to sell Courtois once they have a replacement on the books.

And the Blues have been tipped to sign Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea are expected to pay the £71m release clause in Kepa's contract to take him to Stamford Bridge.

A move to Real Madrid will mean a return to Spanish football for Courtois, who played for Atletico Madrid before becoming Chelsea's number 1.
