Out-of-favour Brighton midfielder Oliver Norwood is not likely to join Leeds United as things stand, it has been claimed.

Leeds are in the market for a back-up centre-back and a central midfielder as a replacement Ronaldo Vieira, who joined Sampdoria earlier this month.

The Yorkshire giants are keeping their eye on a number of options in the market at the moment and have until Thursday 5pm to complete any permanent transfers.

Brighton are ready to ship out Norwood, who spent last season at Fulham, and are looking for takers for him in the market.

The midfielder has been linked with a move away to Leeds, but according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Norwood is not likely to join the Whites as things stand.

Leeds remain interested in signing a midfielder, but a Norwood move is not expected to happen.

And unless something happens to change their plans, the 27-year-old is not expected to move to Elland Road this summer.

Leeds are expected to consider loan options and they have until the end of the month to sign players.
