Arsenal are unlikely to let Everton and Southampton target Danny Welbeck leave before the transfer window for Premier League clubs closes at 5pm.

Welbeck has been tipped as a potential exit at the Emirates Stadium on deadline day, amid interest from Everton and Southampton.

But, according to the Press Association, the Gunners will not let Welbeck leave unless there is last minute drama.

The Gunners will also not be signing anyone before the transfer window closes, meaning it is set to be a quiet day in north London.

However, Welbeck could still depart Arsenal this summer.

The former Manchester United attacker has keen interest from Turkish giants Besiktas, whose transfer window will remain open until the end of the month.

Other clubs in Europe, where the window remains open, could also choose to try their luck for Welbeck.

All eyes will be on how involved Welbeck is at Arsenal under Unai Emery during the initial weeks of the season.
