Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has turned down an offer to join Arsenal in the ongoing transfer window, it has been claimed.

The Catalan giants paid a huge fee to sign the Frenchman from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but he struggled with injuries at Nou Camp last season.




Barcelona giants have not been planning to lose the player this summer, but there are suggestions Arsenal have been exploring the possibility of signing Dembele.

Claims of a big money deadline day bid for the winger from Arsenal have been rubbished in England, however it has been claimed in Spain that nevertheless the Gunners made clear they wanted Dembele.
 


Indeed, according to Spanish daily El Confidencial, the player turned down the opportunity to join Arsenal and wants to continue playing his football at Barcelona.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has plans to use Dembele extensively in the upcoming campaign and the player has an appetite to leave the Nou Camp just after a year at the club.
