Everton have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Kurt Zouma and are now working to push the deal over the line.

Zouma has been linked with Manchester United, amid claims they wanted to sign the defender on an outright transfer from Chelsea.

But Zouma is not likely to be going to Old Trafford and, according to French sports daily L'Equipe, Everton have found an agreement with Chelsea to sign the defender.

The deal is on the basis of a loan agreement.

Now Everton will work to make sure the deal is over the line, with the Premier League window closing at 5pm.

Zouma will be looking to play regular first team football under Marco Silva at Everton.

The Frenchman could be joined by another centre-back at Everton in the shape of Yerry Mina.

Mina was also linked with Manchester United, but Everton are putting the finishing touches to a permanent deal for the Colombia World Cup star.
