Everton Star Snubs Leeds United, Closing On Middlesbrough Move

Middlesbrough are close to signing Muhamed Besic on loan from Everton, with the player choosing Boro over Leeds United.

The 25-year-old has been tipped to move away from Goodison Park this summer and spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough.

Besic impressed Boro boss Tony Pulis, who now wants him back at the Riverside.

And according to the BBC, Middlesbrough are close to agreeing a loan deal with Everton for Besic.

A permanent move has been discussed, but it is claimed to be more likely a loan switch.

It is also suggested that Besic has chosen to return to Middlesbrough rather than heading to Leeds.

Besic impressed with his performances in the Championship for Middlesbrough last season and will bid to pick up where he left off this term.

While the deal could happen today, Championship sides are free to make loan signings until 31st August.
