West Ham United have confirmed the signing of striker Lucas Perez from Arsenal with Hammers fans discussing the deal on social media.

The 29-year-old Spaniard became the eighth player to join the Irons this summer after making the cross London move on a three-year contract.

The striker joined Arsenal in 2016, but was loaned back to Deportivo e La Coruna for the 2017/18 campaign after an unsuccessful stay at the Emirates Stadium. Club fan Mary welcomed the 'highly anticipated' player on Twitter, hoping he can 'create magic' with West Ham.

West Ham fan Tom Edwards says that Perez is technical player who plays attractive football, stating that the club have built up a good attacking line, with Andy Carroll potentially becoming fourth choice striker.

Arsenal fan Razzi hoped the Irons treat him properly and give him more game time than the Gunners did, adding that he could never understand why former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger never gave the striker enough opportunities to shine.

While Dan Loughlin thinks Perez is a 'massively' underrated signing, Giesen believes the club have got a good bargain.

Meanwhile, Elliot still can't believe what is happening the transfer window at West Ham, finding the summer dealings 'amazing'.
