Paris Saint-Germain are not prioritising a move for Manchester United target Jerome Boateng, according to Sky Germany.

Manchester United have tried and failed with an effort to sign Boateng from Bayern Munich and the clock is ticking if they want to go back with a fresh proposal.

The defender's agent has held talks with PSG, who are also keen, but it appears signing Boateng is down the French champions' list.

PSG first want to focus on bringing in a new left-back, which they see as an immediate priority.

The French champions are also discussing several other centre-backs who would cost less and are younger than Boateng.

Manchester United were quoted around the £50m mark for Boateng, but were keen to take him to Old Trafford on loan.

Bayern Munich were not willing to play ball and would likely want a substantial sum from PSG for the defender.

Boateng is claimed to have phoned Jose Mourinho personally to inform him he would not be joining Manchester United.
