Tottenham Hotspur have denied being in talks to sign Norway and Genk midfielder Sander Berge on deadline day, according to Sky Sports News.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to England, with Tottenham believed to be interested in signing him on deadline day.

Genk are reportedly yet to receive an offer from Spurs for the Norway international, but there are suggestions that his agent is in England on deadline day.

However, Berge is unlikely to be a Tottenham player by the end of the transfer window as it has been claimed that the club are not in any kind of negotiations to sign him.

Tottenham are yet to sign a player this summer and the club remain interested in making additions before the window slams shut at 5pm, with Jack Grealish still believed to be a target.

However, Berge is not one of the players Tottenham are claimed to be looking at as an option for a last minute addition to their squad this summer.

Sevilla are also interested in the young midfielder enforcer and they have until the end of the month to complete the transfer.

The Spanish side have been speaking to Berge's representatives.
