Tottenham Hotspur are making a late push to try and take Inter's Joao Mario to White Hart Lane.

Inter have been looking to offload Mario throughout the summer, but have yet to find a club willing to meet their demands for the Portuguese.

The clock is ticking for Mario if a move to the Premier League is to happen and, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Tottenham are trying their luck with a late push.

It is claimed that Spurs are proposing a season-long loan deal with a purchase option.

Inter will now consider whether to let Mario leave, or wait for other proposals for the midfielder as transfer windows will remain open everywhere across Europe, except England.

And Mario has a number of other suitors.
