Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur linked Ante Rebic has put pen-to-paper to a new four-year contract at Eintracht Frankfurt, with the Bundesliga club strengthening their position when it comes to keeping him in the future.

The new contract is set to keep the player at the club until at least the summer of 2022.

Rebic impressed with his performances for Croatia in the World Cup and was linked with several sides this summer, including Manchester United and Tottenham.

The 24-year-old featured in all nine games for Croatia in the World Cup, even adding to the scoresheet once in the group stage match against Argentina.

He joined Eintracht Frankfurt, initially on a season-long loan from Fiorentina in 2016, but saw his stay extended for one more year after an impressive first season.

The move was finally made permanent this summer for a fee in the region of €2m after the club exercised their right to buy option and now Rebic has extended his deal.
