Tiemoue Bakayoko is keen to complete a move to AC Milan from Chelsea and there has been progress on a deal between the two clubs.

Chelsea are happy for the midfielder to leave after they significantly strengthened their engine room over the course of the Premier League transfer window.




AC Milan are working on taking Bakayoko to Italy on a season-loan loan deal with the right to buy at a later date.

According to Sky Italia, there has been progress made on the deal and the will of the player, who wants to complete a switch to the Rossoneri, could prove to be crucial.
 


Chelsea only signed Bakayoko last summer from Ligue 1 side Monaco, splashing out a fee of £40m to take him to Stamford Bridge as Nemanja Matic's successor.

But Bakayoko struggled to convince at Chelsea and regularly came in for criticism from sections of supporters due to his displays.

The midfielder made a total of 43 appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring three goals.

His contract with the Blues is due to run until 2022.
