Newly promoted Serie A outfit Frosinone are in advanced negotiations with Arsenal for the signature of winger Joel Campbell.

The Costa Rican spent last season on loan at Real Betis and evidently has no future at Arsenal under new head coach Unai Emery going forward.

The striker has been linked with a move to Italy this summer and there are suggestions he could soon seal an exit away from the Gunners in the coming days.

Newly promoted Serie A outfit Frosinone have been in talks with Arsenal for Campbell and according to Sky Italia, the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement.

Campbell wants to play first team football this season and is prepared to move to Italy in order to rekindle his career after a spate of loan spells across Europe.

However, it is unclear whether Frosinone are signing him on a permanent deal or Campbell is being loaned out for one more season.

He joined Arsenal from Saprissa in 2011 and has had loan spells at Lorient, Betis, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Sporting Lisbon over the last few seasons.

The winger, who has only made 40 appearances for Arsenal, has entered the final year of his contract with the club.
