Juventus have closed the door on the possible departure of Manchester United linked Alex Sandro in the ongoing transfer window.

Jose Mourinho identified the Brazilian as one of Manchester United’s priority targets, but the club refused to match Juventus’ asking price for the left-back.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been keen on signing the 27-year-old.

It has been claimed that the French champions made a late move for Sandro but have received a negative response from Juventus over the possibility of signing him.

According to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Juventus have slammed the door on Sandro’s departure from the club for this summer and he will remain at the club for at least one more season.

Juventus would have accepted an offer of around €45m had PSG made their move a little earlier, but the Italian champions are no longer willing to sell the Brazilian with only a day left in the Italian transfer window.

The Italian window closes tomorrow and Juventus believe they don’t have the time to seek a replacement for the defender.

Juventus will offer him a new deal and any discussions to sell him have been postponed until next summer.
