Aston Villa are hoping to land Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on a loan deal before the transfer window closes on 31st August, according to BirminghamLive.

Villa boss Steve Bruce wants to top up his squad by landing up to two players on loan from Premier League clubs.

He has set his sights on snapping up Abraham, who scored regularly in the Championship during a prior loan spell at Bristol City.

But Aston Villa face a fight to land the 20-year-old.

With the transfer window still largely open across Europe, clubs from the continent have been looking towards Abraham as an option.

The striker is deciding what would be the best move for him to make and has time to reach a decision with the window open until the end of the month.
