Tiemoue Bakayoko has claimed that there are striking similarities between AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso and former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Conte signed the Frenchman from Monaco at Chelsea last summer as the long term replacement for Nemanja Matic, who went on to join Manchester United.

However, Bakayoko struggled during his time in England last season and Chelsea shipped him out on loan to AC Milan this week, with the Serie A giants reserving an option to sign him on a permanent deal.

The midfielder is looking to rekindle his career with the Milanese giants and admits that he wants to be an important part of AC Milan going forward.

Bakayoko also conceded that he has spotted similarities between the working styles of Rossoneri coach Gattuso and former Chelsea boss Conte.

Asked about the similarities between Conte and Gattuso, the midfielder said in a press conference: “It’s true.

“I noticed similarities in the initial training sessions.

“I have not yet talked about my role in the team, but certainly I will give my best to become important for the team.”

Conte has been linked with replacing Gattuso at AC Milan, but the Rossoneri have tried to distance themselves from the speculation.
