Marcelo Bielsa has the Leeds United players hanging on his every word when he speaks, Whites defender Liam Cooper has revealed.

The legendary Argentine has commanded instant respect at Elland Road and with the players all on side, Leeds have had a bright start to the season, winning their first three games in all competitions.

Cooper insists that the players buying into Bielsa's methods is simply the way it had to be and admits that he has already learnt lots from listing to the Argentine.

"Oh [I’ve learnt] so much", Cooper explained on LUTV.

"It's got to be that way. It all comes from the lads buying into it and the manager's ideas.

"He's got a lot of good ideas and he's fascinating when he talks. He has the boys glued to what he's saying.

"Everybody's enjoying it. We've just got to keep going, keep plugging away", the centre-back added.

Leeds have already beaten Stoke City and Derby County this season, two teams widely tipped as promotion contenders.

The Whites, who started last season well but then faded badly in the new year, can make it nine points from nine available if they see off Rotherham United at Elland Road on Saturday.
