Jason Cundy believes that Chelsea fans may need to wait until the end of November to see the Blues playing the way new manager Maurizio Sarri intends.

Sarri's Chelsea side scored a 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge over Arsenal on Saturday, but in the process lived dangerously as the Gunners had a host of chances to score.

Had Arsenal's finishing not been sloppy, they could have netted five times against the Blues, something which has flashed up warning signs for some Chelsea fans.

Sarri is changing Chelsea's style to an attacking game and Cundy thinks patience must be shown as it will take time for him to get his message across.

As such, it could even be three months until Chelsea are fully a Sarri side.

"We have to reflect a bit and see what Sarri is trying to do. We need to be patient", Cundy said on Chelsea TV.

"I've said we're not going to see Sarri's Chelsea I am guessing until the end of October, maybe as late as until the end of November.

"Then you can start to look at what Sarri is trying to get across.

"One thing you know is he's going to attack."

Chelsea have now won their opening two league games under Sarri to sit top of the Premier League table on goal difference.

Next up for the Blues is a visit to St James' Park next Sunday.
