Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller has left his job as player-manager of Livingston, despite only taking over at the Tony Macaroni Arena in June.

Miller took over at the Scottish Premiership side earlier this summer, but was reported to be holding talks with the club's board on Sunday with his future in doubt.

It was claimed that some at the club were unhappy with the performances put in by Miller, both on and off the pitch.

Now, according to STV, Miller has left his post at the club.

Livingston went out of the Scottish League Cup on Saturday when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home against Motherwell.

Under Miller, the club took one point from their opening two Premiership games.

Livingston are set to travel to St Mirren next Saturday, before then taking on Hibernian before the international break kicks in.

And it appears they are now looking for a new manager to guide them through the coming tests.
