Besiktas are holding talks to take Loris Karius from Liverpool on loan.

The Turkish giants want to land another goalkeeper and they have set their sights on Karius, who struggled badly in the Champions League final for Liverpool last season.

Jurgen Klopp splashed the cash to sign Alisson from Roma earlier this summer and as a result Karius is no longer the number one at Anfield.

Besiktas are looking to take Karius to Turkey and, according to TRT Sport, are talking about a loan move for the German.

Reds boss Klopp is claimed to be willing to let Karius leave if he wants to go, but it remains to be seen under what circumstances Liverpool would agree to a loan.

Another Liverpool goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet, is keen to leave Anfield.

And it is unclear if Liverpool would be willing to let both Karius and Mignolet leave, a situation which would deplete the backup options for Alisson.

Liverpool cannot make any signings after the Premier League's decision to close its transfer window early this summer; transfer windows remain firmly open across much of Europe.
