Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe has admitted that it is important for the Whites to forget about the 2-0 win against Rotherham United on Saturday and shift their focus to Swansea City.

Roofe, 25, has started the campaign in sublime fashion for the Whites, helping them to become the only team to maintain a 100 per cent record in the Championship so far this season.

The former Oxford United striker, who joined Leeds for £3m in 2016, is currently the Whites’ top scorer with three goals in as many games in the Championship and is keeping out Patrick Bamford, who joined from Middlesbrough in the summer.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men continued their winning run with a 2-0 win over Rotherham but Roofe, who found the back of the net in the 71st minute to wrap up the result, admitted that the win could mean nothing if they fall short against Swansea on Tuesday.

“That’s the thing, the momentum and the winning mentality. It’s to keep doing it”, Roofe told the Yorkshire Evening Post after the win on Saturday.

“Forget about this game, forget about the other games because they don’t mean anything now.

"It’s about Swansea and what we actually put out on the pitch at Swansea, he added.

Bielsa resorted to sticking with an unchanged starting eleven for the first three games, but with the Whites set for a long week with games at Swansea and Norwich City, he might consider rotating his players to keep them away from fatigue in the coming weeks.
