West Ham summer signing Jack Wilshere has expressed his delight with his home debut for the Hammers, though he insists that the result was not one that they had expected and now they will be looking to put in more hard work and prepare for next week.

Manuel Pellegrini and his team have not enjoyed a good start to their league campaign, losing both their opening games and conceding six goals. Their latest loss came against Bournemouth this weekend as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium.

The former Arsenal man, who managed his home debut for the club that he joined in the summer, insists that the result was one he was unhappy with.

However, he expects the team to put in more hard work over the course of the week so that they can come back stronger against Arsenal next weekend.

"Happy to make my home debut but not happy with the result", Wilshere wrote on Twitter, while posting a photograph of himself in action.

"Tough game for us this weekend but we have a week of hard work and preparation in front of us."

West Ham's opponents next weekend have problems of their own to handle as they have also lost both their opening games and are languishing just above the relegation zone.

And the pressure will be on new Arsenal boss Unai Emery to get the Gunners up and running.
