Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that he is enjoying the busy schedule of the Championship and says that his team would rather play than train.

After a promising start to the season under Bielsa, Leeds are now poised to endure the gruelling nature of the Championship when they travel to face Swansea on Tuesday, just days after their win over Rotherham on Saturday.

The game against the Welsh club will be followed by another encounter away from home against Norwich City next Saturday, to complete a set of three games within the space of seven days for the Whites.

However, the Argentine coach has claimed that he is relishing the challenge on offer with the club in the Championship, while also commenting that his side would rather play a game than turn up for training.

“There are differences between the weeks where we have just one game to play and weeks where we have two games to play. The possibilities to make corrections are less frequent”, Bielsa told a press conference.

“Also you have less time to watch the rival in his preparation.

Bielsa, who resorted to fielding an unchanged starting eleven for the Whites’ first three league games of the season, could have to rotate his side soon given the matches are coming thick and fast.
