FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao remains keen to sign Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, despite Brendan Rodgers insisting that he is not available for transfer.

The midfielder has been impressive since joining Celtic from Manchester City last summer and he has been on the wishlist of a number of clubs in Europe this year.

West Ham were reportedly interested in the Frenchman in the summer, but with the Premier League window closed, the threat of a raid from the south of their border has gone away for Celtic.

However, the window is still open in most European leagues and there are claims that Ntcham has emerged as Porto’s top target ahead of the end of the month.

According to Portuguese outlet Sapo Desporto, Porto coach Conceicao is a big fan of the midfielder and is desperate to add his dynamism to his team ahead of the end of the transfer window.

Conceicao has been clear that Porto need Ntcham's qualities as part of their midfield group this season.

Porto are expected to make a move soon to probe the possibility of signing Ntcham, but Rodgers has delivered a message to the midfielder’s suitors.

The Celtic manager has made it clear that the Frenchman is happy at Paradise and the club will not be entertaining offers for him.

There is also talk that Celtic could soon open talks to extend his contract.
