Real Madrid are set to watch Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling in action for England next month with a view to signing him in the future, according to Sky Sports News.

With only a few days left in the window, the European champions have not signed a headline-grabbing player this summer following Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus.

A speculated move for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard never materialised, but it seems the club are keeping their powder dry for another Premier League attacker.

And it has been claimed that Los Blancos have rekindled their interest in Manchester City winger Sterling and are set to keep tabs on him over the next few months.

Sterling has been looked at by Real Madrid in previous summers, but there were no suggestions that he could move to Spain from Manchester City this year.

The Premier League champions are not likely to sanction such a huge sale this week, but Real Madrid are preparing to play the long game to take the winger to the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid representatives are set to be in attendance to watch Sterling in action for England against Spain at Wembley next month.

They could possibility make a big money move next summer in order to tempt Sterling to pursue the bright lights of Madrid.
