AC Milan are yet to receive a definitive answer from Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis over their offer of the managing director's role at the San Siro.

Gazidis has been the Arsenal chief executive since 2008 and played an important role in the overhaul of the backroom staff ahead of Arsene Wenger’s departure at the end of last season.

The South African played a huge role in bringing in Unai Emery and installing a new management system at the Gunners, which prepared them for Wenger’s eventual departure.

But there is speculation that the 53-year-old could be moving on in the coming months as he has an offer to become the new AC Milan managing director.

However, according to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, the Rossoneri are still waiting for Gazidis to provide them a definitive answer on whether he is prepared to move to Italy.

He remains their top target for the role and they have offered him a contract worth €4m per year.

AC Milan restructured their management system under new owners this summer and are keen to add Gazidis’ expertise to the new hierarchy.

However, they want an answer soon and are prepared to look at other targets if Gazidis continues to delay his decision.
