FC Porto are set to miss out on the signing of Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

The Portuguese giants have been chasing the midfielder, viewing him as the ideal reinforcement for their squad.

But Celtic have not been keen to sell Ntcham, with finding a replacement so close to the closure of the summer transfer window a difficult task for the Scottish champions.

It has been claimed in Scotland that Porto have made a new bid for Ntcham, of €16m.

But, according to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo, Porto's new offer for Ntcham is unable to be confirmed.

And it is claimed that Ntcham is not set to move to Porto this summer.

Keeping hold of Ntcham will be a boost for Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, who does not want to lose key players.

Ntcham made a whopping 48 appearances in all competitions for Celtic last season, chipping in with nine goals and six assists.
