Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has given the green light for a move for Tottenham Hotspur target Stanislav Lobotka, with the French champions now racing against the clock to do a deal.

The highly rated Celta Vigo midfielder was linked with Arsenal earlier this summer, but the Gunners signed Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria.

Tottenham were then keen on Lobotka, but ran out of time as the Premier League transfer window closed three weeks ago.

Now PSG are in the mix for the Slovakian and, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Tuchel has given his approval to a move to sign the player.

PSG are now scheduled to hold a meeting with Lobotka's representatives on Thursday evening.

The midfielder has a release clause set at €50m in his contract with Celta Vigo and PSG could make room in the squad for him by offloading Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso has interest from La Liga side Real Sociedad and a season-long loan with an option to buy is a possibility in a deal for the Argentine.
