Celtic have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu on a two-year deal as Bhoys fans expressed their opinions on the new signing on social media.

The Congolese spent last season at Kilmarnock and had scored his first goal for the club against Celtic in February. The 31-year is expected to be available for selection in the Old Firm derby clash against Rangers on Sunday.

Speaking to club website Mulumbu said: “I cannot describe how amazing this day is for me, but it’s one step to the other. I have signed but now I must work hard to play." Twitter user and Bhoys fan Nikki welcomed him to the 'greatest team' in Scotland, adding a word of caution too for the player.

Fellow fan Sean Mclaughlin was very happy with the signing, reckoning that he can turn out to be great for the club.

Georgina on the other hand praised the player's attitude, citing his humble and down to earth nature, also adding his focused and ambitious approach to the game.

While El P found the transfer to be a brilliant one, Cork_Bhoy_ asked the club to keep the player announcements coming.

Meanwhile, Ged Fitzsimmons asked the question which is on most Celtic fans' lips.
