Chelsea fans want England manager Gareth Southgate to call up Ross Barkley after Liverpool man Adam Lallana was ruled out of action with a groin injury in training.
Barkley has not featured for the Three Lions since playing in a friendly against Australia in May 2016 and was last called into the England squad for a World Cup qualifier with Lithuania in March 2017.
Southgate has resisted calling up the former Everton midfielder, while Twitter user and Chelsea fan Moe thought Barkley should be in the squad, with AM29 providing a memo for the England manager.
Barkley should be in.

Fellow fan John Balnaves does not quite understand how the Liverpool man was called up in the first place with Barkley having played more than Lallana in the recent past.
Don't understand how he got called up in the first place. May as well call up Ross Barkley as he has played more than Lallana recently

With Raheem Sterling also pulling out with an injury, Dumi Drexel too thought that Barkley should have been the one to replace Lallana.

While Gareth Beard wondered if Southgate is following Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce's selection manual, Lee Wakefield found the selection strange.
Meanwhile, Exclusively Chelsea questioned if the entire squad need to be injured before Barkley manages to book a return.
Straight from the Steve Bruce squad selection manual

Sterling & Lallana injured. So GS calls up a fourth keeper!!! What’s all that about. Why not call up Demarai Gray, Will Hughes or Ross Barkley. #strange #comeongareth
