Chelsea fans have taken to social media to demand Olivier Giroud start ahead of Alvaro Morata after the striker scored the winner for France against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League.
Kylian Mbappe gave France the lead, but Ryan Babel equalised for the Dutch, before Giroud found the winning goal with 16 minutes remaining in the game to give France the 2-1 win. His strike also helped him to overtake Zinedine Zidane into fourth place on France's all-time top scorer list.
The 31-year-old has so far been used only as a substitute by Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and it remains to be seen whether Frenchman is deployed in a starting role at Stamford Bridge. Twitter user and Chelsea fan Demy Jozeph pleaded for Giroud to get a start, with Bill Badger wanting him over Morata.
GIROUD TO START AT CHELSEA PLS.

Fellow fan Ralphola wants the striker to start banging goals for Chelsea after he broke his goal drought in national colours after a goalless World Cup.
Nice to see you score again for your country, just come back to Chelsea and start banging d goal.

Samson Doma-Marxist was not convinced, placing Giroud among 'worse strikers' and Morata as the worst in the world.
He's worse amongst world strikers, but the worst is Morata.
Rodrigo is just & will be the best we can get at the moment. What are we waiting for?— Samson Doma-Marxist (@DS_Marxist) September 10, 2018
While Aglie Daniel's appreaciated Giroud's patience, Dee hoped he scores many more this season.
Meanwhile, Colin Perkins is sad that Giroud will again find a place on bench when Premier League actions resumes on Saturday.
It was great winner producer from a patient striker
