AC Milan have rekindled their interest in Aaron Ramsey and are hoping to take advantage of the Wales midfielder's contractual situation at Arsenal.

Ramsey's current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season and the Gunners have so far not extended it.

A clutch of clubs are keeping close watch on the situation involving the midfielder at the Emirates Stadium.

According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, AC Milan are amongst the sides interested in Ramsey and they are looking to press the accelerator on efforts to convince him to move to Italy.

If Ramsey has not signed a new deal with Arsenal by the new year, he would be able to put pen to paper to a pre-contractual agreement with AC Milan.

Ramsey has made a substantial 335 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal, scoring 59 goals and creating 57 more for his team-mates.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery has handed Ramsey game time this season and the midfielder has featured in all four of Arsenal's Premier League matches so far.

Arsenal are next in action on Saturday away at Newcastle United.
