Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has insisted that the Hornets are in the best condition as they prepare to host Manchester United at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Javi Gracia’s men have been the surprise package of the season, winning all four of their games so far in the Premier League.

The Hornets backed up their victories over Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace with an impressive comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur before the international break.

Watford are only behind Liverpool and Chelsea on goal difference in the league table and have shown tremendous character up to this point under their manager.

Doucoure, who has played every single minute of the Hornets’ league campaign so far, says that Watford are in their best possible condition as they prepare to take on Manchester United in Saturday’s tea time kick-off in Hertfordshire.

"[But] we are in the best condition because we have had a very good pre-season”, Doucoure was quoted as saying by beIN Sports.

"This year everyone wants to be in the top 10. We think we can do something, we have a very good start.

"We just want more now, he added.

Watford will be taking inspiration from their win over Spurs to try and cause a major upset against Jose Mourinho and his Red Devils, who are out to get their season back on track after a sloppy start.
