Ryan Kent has warned Villarreal that Rangers will head to Spain on Thursday brimming with confidence after putting four goals past Dundee on Saturday at Ibrox.

Rangers were looking to return to winning ways following a loss against Celtic before the international break and took the lead after just four minutes through Lassana Coulibaly.

Kent then got on the scoresheet ten minutes later, before a James Tavernier penalty before half time put Rangers 3-0 up and in cruise control.

Kenny Miller saw red on his return to Ibrox in the 79th minute before Glenn Middleton capped off Rangers' afternoon with a fourth goal.

Next up for Rangers is a Europa League group stage game away at Villarreal and Kent says having scored four goals they are full of confidence.

"After putting four past these today we go into Thursday's game with a lot of confidence", he told Rangers TV.

"We've warranted and deserved to get where we are in the group stage, so we'll go there with a lot of confidence and we'll enjoy the game."

Kent admits that turning out in the Europa League presents him with a superb opportunity to hone his skills against some of Europe's top players.

"It's the perfect stage for a young player to really put himself up against top quality players across Europe", he added.

The winger is due to spend the season on loan at Rangers, as he continues to develop away from Liverpool.
