Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes Marcelo Bielsa is not going to change the way his side play no matter what the situation is.

Bielsa’s men protected their unbeaten record in the Championship this season with a late equaliser from Jack Harrison that earned Leeds a hard-fought point at Millwall on Saturday in a 1-1 draw.

Leeds looked like hurtling towards their first defeat in the league but a goal from Harrison in the 89th minute and some last-ditch defending in stoppage time earned them a point.

Despite Millwall’s 1-0 lead until towards the end of the game, the Whites continued to play their passing football and Bielsa never abandoned his plan A at the Den.

And Gray feels he is the kind of manager who is not going to give up on his plans no matter what the situation of a game could be.

The Leeds legend believes Bielsa has been proven right when it comes to sticking to his plans this season.

The former White told LUTV: “He always keeps the system the same as that’s how he plays the game.

“I don’t think we’ll see that change, he has been on the record in saying that as that’s how he wants to play the game.

“Even when you are down sometimes, you are thinking 'get the ball forward a little bit quicker'.

“The team continue to pass it around and they got their rewards. The thing is that so far this season, every game we have played, he has been proven right.

“He has done it even when we are away from home. He is confident about his ability to change things and make it work.”

Leeds will be in action on Tuesday night when they will host Preston at Elland Road.
