Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has refused to put a time frame on Izzy Brown making his debut for the club.

The Yorkshire giants swooped to sign Brown on loan from Chelsea before the summer transfer window closed at the end of August.

However, they signed a player unfit to play, in the shape of Brown, as he continues to feel his way back following a serious knee injury.

It had been estimated it would be at least October before Leeds fans got a chance to see Brown in a white shirt, but Bielsa will not play the game of picking a return date for the midfielder.

Asked about Brown at a press conference, Bielsa said: "It's a very different case. It's been a long time since he played.

"He hasn't played football with us so far.

"It's impossible to say when he will be fit.

"It won't be a short time."

Leeds have seen their attacking options depleted through injury in recent weeks, with the most notable injury blow being striker Patrick Bamford being ruled out for four months with a knee injury.
