Leeds United have continued their their policy of playing first team players in the Under-23s to keep them match sharp, with Chelsea loanees Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker both starting against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Whites fielded Patrick Bamford in a Under-23s clash last week and the expensively acquired striker picked up a knee injury which has ruled him out for four months.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bilesa continues to believe those in the first team but not getting the required amount of minutes on the pitch should play for the Under-23s.

Goalkeeper Blackman starts against the Owls, while Tom Perarce and Conor Shaughnessy also take their spots in the eleven.

Baker starts in midfield, while on the bench Adam Forshaw, who is back from injury, is included as an option.

Highly rated young striker Ryan Edmondson, who has been touted for a first team chances following Leeds' injury issues in attack, is also on the bench.
