AC Milan’s executive chairman Paolo Scaroni has expressed his delight with the appointment of Ivan Gazidis as CEO of the Rossoneri by claiming that the former Arsenal employee will bring unparalleled success to the Milan giants.

Gazidis accepted an invitation to become the CEO of AC Milan on Tuesday and it was confirmed that he will take charge of his duties on 1st December, 2018.




Scaroni is expected to hand over all chief executive duties to Gazidis in December and soon the South African will take charge of handling the club’s day-to-day football, business and commercial operations.

AC Milan’s executive chairman, Scaroni, was quick to welcome Gazidis to the football club and went on to say that the appointment only bodes well for the future.
 


Scaroni also added that Gazidis’ experience at the top level for so long makes him the ideal candidate to lead the new project at the San Siro.

Gazidis played a key role in establishing Major League Soccer in the United States before leaving for England to take up the CEO role at Arsenal in 2009.
